Who am I?: I am @fkeroge, a Chemical Engineering student from the Philippines. If you’re asking about my age, I am in my late teens. I am an author of this very site, Ambivalence, or is it Ambiguity?. You can find me at these places:
MAL | Twitter | Google+ | Steam |
What kind of person are you?: I like to think that I’m just like everybody else, with his own tastes and preferences. I have nothing against anything or anybody and I rarely get angry, but I am easily annoyed. I can be pretty stupid at times, especially when it comes to controlling my excitement. I am easily entertained yet also easily bored.
I like philosophy, psychology and basically anything that has something to do with human behavior. When I read posts from other blogs, I can’t help but to use their posts as references for me to make a background of the author’s online persona.
What kinds of anime do you like?: I am a fan of anything interesting. I like anime that entertain me and dislike those that don’t. Because of that, my tastes are pretty mainstream in nature, except for a few exceptions.
What are the particular things that you look for in an anime?: Well, I admit that I do have a weakness for drama in my anime, and that has both helped me find my favorite anime and anime that I disliked, so I guess that if an anime looks like a god drama, I’ll definitely check it out.
Like I said earlier, I like psychology and philosophy. Of course, I would want to watch anime dealing with these concepts in depth, as long as they’re entertaining enough.
But I guess my biggest weakness would be yuri. Those of you who have known me for a while would agree. If a show has yuri potential, I will always try to watch it, for better or worse.
Why did you start to watch anime in the first place?: Read this.
What are your standards when it comes to rating your anime?: I only have a single standard for rating anime, and that is its entertainment value. I break down my scores in MAL in this manner:
-
10 – The pinnacle of entertainment.
-
9 – Kept my eyes glued to the screen. The best of the best.
-
8 – The best anime I can hope for. I consider anime reaching this score to be must-watches.
-
7 – The better anime. The types that should be watched if you have free time on your hands.
-
6 – Good anime. These are anime that should be watched if you don’t have anything better to do.
-
5 – Average anime. Has entertainment value, but I guess you’re better off doing something else entirely.
-
4 – Bad anime. These are the kind of anime that should be watched, if you want to be amazed at how bad anime can be; “so bad, it’s good” quality.
-
3 – Very bad anime – These anime induce sleepiness or rage. Try to stay away from these. “Terribad” quality.
-
2 – The lowest score that I have given so far. The “so bad, it’s not even funny” level. May cause narcolepsy. This score is reserved mostly for horrible anime extras, but I can also give this score to TV series that try hard enough.
-
1 – I wish the day that I give this score would never come.

Loved that last message ( ´∀`). And congrats on the move!
Prepared to be stalked COUGH COUGH. I mean, poisoned by my virtual cookies (^ω^)
I will take all the poisoned virtual cookies you give me. I’m immune to poison. And virtual cookies are virtually delicious. 😀
…Damn. This is the part were you’re meant to choke and die. And I’m supposed to go BWHAHAHAHA in victory.
XD
I won’t die even if I’m killed! 😉
Because you made a contract with QB lol ;D
Just another spot to have our usual…”discussions”. Good luck kicking butt over here as well.
I’ll still be posting stuff over there, so don’t worry.
Most yuri stuff are still going to posted there and the more general anime stuff will be posted here.
I have a few questions:
1: Are you content with your existence?
2: Do you have a superiority complex?
3: Chicken or eggs?
4: Epiphanies and depth or casualness?
5: Necronomicon or Scientology?
6: Are you a Squidward?
7: To smile or to frown?
8: Have you ever considered going into robotics?
9: How many times in your life have you contemplated your purpose for being?
10: Yuuna or Eris?
11: Mr L or Light Yagami?
I don’t know why you’re asking me these things, but…
1. I think I am.
2. I guess I do.
3. Eggs.
4. Casualness.
5. Scientology.
6. I don’t know.
7. To smile, most definitely.
8. Nope.
9. I’ve lost count.
10. Yuuna all the way!
11. L is smart, Light is stupid.
Ooooooohhhhhh, just ummm…tch…curious. I learned a lot today and one answer in particular explained everything I wanted to know about you. Thank you for answering good sir.

So, what’cha been up to @?
Well, I’m currently retired from blogging. I don’t know when I’ll get back. In the meantime, I’m working on the rest of the Sono Hana TL projects.
Very well. I’ll be waiting for my episode 10 and Hanahira translations with much anticipation, then.
Hi! I’m conducting a study related on Japanese Manga, and I really think your paper “The Rise of Philippine Otaku Culture” would be of great help. May I have the details so I can cite you properly? Sorry if I commented here. There wasn’t any comment box on the page of your paper. 🙂
Thank you very much!
