Difference is, this is the first URA to be organised by Secondary 3s. Yes, we were in charge, the seniors helped us on the way, but we were in charge. Which was kind of nice, seeing as how the event went off without a hitch.
Argh,who am I kidding.
We did kind of mess up a little at times, but not very seriously though;I’m not blaming anyone, it’s probably my fault anyway.
..but aside from the ups and downs , we managed to do it well in the end, did we not?
I guess there really isn’t anything we can use to judge whether we ‘succeeded’ or ‘failed’. I would say we ‘succeeded’ though.
What set me thinking is how surreal the whole event felt.
All those hours of work, all those nights spent doing work (especially on Poon’s part) and all that time spent to prepare – culminating into this short 4 hour session – it feels so surrealistic.
Main Entry: sur·re·al·is·tic
Pronunciation: \-ˌrē-ə-ˈlis-tik also -ˌrā-\
1 : of or relating to surrealism
2 : having a strange dreamlike atmosphere or quality like that of a surrealistic painting
It feels strangely like a dream. Like it was yesterday since we were attending the URA for ourselves, and now, today, we plan and run it.
A great experience. Looking forward to getting involved in planning another event in the future.
