Of course, as a blogger, I can’t just do factual reporting. I’ve gotta review the event as well, right?
So…today ended my first ever EOY. Was it really the ‘Event of the Year’? Or was it something else? Let’s go through what happened today.
Thus ends what seems to be the last AFA I’ll be able to attend for a long, long time. Yet, as much of my twitterfriends and my real-life friends know, I’ve been unable to attend this year due to….mysterious reasons, let’s just say that. More on that, and more about my thoughts on AFA this year as well later in the post.
As the anime started, I heard the cheesy sounding school flute tune, then these 4 girls just appeared and talked to each other sideways, in the most awkward way possible.
“This is Xebec, after all…” I told myself. However, despite that horrid opening, I find myself conflicted and divided as to what I think about the show.
Holy shit, Valence.
warning: sappy personal shit inbound
Before the readership breaks up into a war of SC-reader vs non-SC-reader, hear me out for a sec.
You know, The Otaku’s Blog is a funny bunch. I’ve really liked reading their blog, but I’ve been meaning to post this post ages ago, but every time I edit it they become active again. Anyway, I’ve read a new book recently, titled “WE-THINK”, and I’ve felt that one of its chapters rings especially true for TOB.
It’s been almost 3 weeks since Day 3, but because I’m a hipster I can now operate by Valve Time. And since the other active members of AOIA are too busy being Asians, I suppose I should take advantage of this opportunity to end this travesty once and for all.
