Is the only direction a younger sister can take in anime a sexual one?
Every time a show about ‘sisters’ comes out, you can almost immediately point out that it will involve incestuous themes at one point or another, usually with the sister , the younger sister taking the initiative. It’s never the older brother who tells the sister he loves her (it hardly ever happens), and even if it does happen the sister is in dominance. So I wondered : “Is the only purpose of a younger sister-type character sexual/incestuous?”

April 7th. An unimportant date to most, but it marked a special day for me. It was the day that this very site opened up on WordPress, its author beaming with hope and confidence that perhaps someone out there aside from his schoolmates would visit, and finally, he would have more than 2 readers.

For what seems like 6 episodes I’d been asking myself how they’d manage to come up with a character with hardly any balls to defend himself against someone younger than him, and how they seem to lack common sense. I was almost betting that nothing would change even at episode 12.
Well, needless to say, the inevitable happened.

Readers, I’m sure we all (if we do), watch Ore no Imouto for a reason. Being an otaku-centric show (supposedly) ,plenty of people find different reasons to watch it. One might watch it because they enjoy watching Kirino go about her daily life. Others might watch it simply because everyone else was watching it. This post would be on some parts of Ore no Imouto which really struck me back home recently – so much that I think I might actually pick up the series and watch it through to its ‘ True end’.
…but what am I talking about?
