Azure’s 1 month (and counting) anime abstinence
Its one of those status update “I’m still alive but not quite alive” posts again. I’ll try to make this relevant. Try.
Back when I was still in the peak of my love for all things anime and manga (which would be way back in 2008), I completely couldn’t imagine not watching anime at least once per week. Its like some addiction: I would be restless for the entire day, humming some silly anime OP under my breath until I reach home and immediately plant myself in front of the PC where I stay rooted to for hours: waiting for the subbed video to finish loading then hungrily absorbing the 25 minute (give or take) long show before vomiting my insignificant thoughts, complaints, likes and dislikes all over the internet.
Those were really good times…
But right now, the situation is sort of like this:

Shameless self promotion, as always.
I never thought I’d stop watching anime. As Justin Bieber says: “Never say never.”
Before anyone thinks I’m saying my farewell or anything like that, I’m not. I’m just taking a well deserved break as I try to find a life elsewhere. Try as I might.
Weiss Schwarz: Cardfight!! Tournament
Today, March 03 2012, was one of the days of Bushiroad’s organised tournament for two of their money-sapping card games, which include Vanguard, Chaos, Victory Spark and the aforementioned Weiss Schwarz. Vanguard and Weiss Schwarz, being their two biggest earners, naturally got all of the spotlight, with child-pocket-money-sapping Vanguard getting Friday and Sunday, and Weiss Schwarz getting Saturday.
Note: This is a Weiss Schwarz post. It’s unlikely that you’ll find this interesting unless you actually have played the game before.
Ookami-san suddenly reminds me of Project’s Day Finals

Just had an Ookami-san marathon, and since Project’s Day finals just ended today (or yesterday to be exact), I could not help but notice several damning similarities between our final product and Ookami-san.
Our final product, The Young English Baroness, was our so-called whole-year project, to put it simply. It’s basically a novel, but I’m not here to talk about my project, I’m here to relate it to Ookami-san.

Happy National Day, Singapore!
“This is home, truly.
Where I know I must be.
where my dreams wait for me, where the river always flowsThis is home, surely.
As my senses tell me.This is where I won’t be alone,
for this is where, I know it’s home.”
Perhaps it was due to celebrating national day, or perhaps due to all that time spent learning about Singapore’s past, from its struggles during the Japanese Occupation to the intricate workings of its society today, but I’m celebrating National Day. I’m proud to live in Singapore, heck, I’m proud to be Singaporean. National Day fills me with a sense of euphoria I can’t describe, other than it being nationalistic pride and joy.I love you, Singapore.
Happy 45th National Day, Singapore!
A brief respite at Grand Cairnhill
Just back from a brief chalet with family at the Grand Cairnhill, Singapore. It’s nice to step out of the house, and not care about school, to just simply relax during the weekends and the long National Day holiday – exactly its intended purpose. So we went to stay there for 3 days, spanning from Saturday to early this afternoon.

Weekly Diary , or a string of random thoughts
It’s over NINE THOUSAAAAAND!
"Vegeta, what does the scouter say about Valence's power level?"
"It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAND!"
"WHAT?! NINE THOUSAND?!
Oh wow. In 5 months, or 4 months and 3 weeks if you want to get specific, Ambivalence – or is it Ambiguity? – has finally made it over the 9000, or 9001 mark , if you still want to get into specifics. For a small-time blog , especially since the blogger’s still in Secondary School, I feel great. I know, this is peanuts compared to those successful anime blogs out there, but I’m satisfied. From inconsistently posting random content, to finally managing to focus on the theme itself, that in itself is a great achievement if you ask me. I’ve been leading a nocturnal life recently, studying until the wee hours of the morning and then updating the blog if I can. I guess that must have helped me get blog views- after all, different time zones- but nonetheless, being a student of HCI I can’t be content with just that, can I? Thus, I’ll continue to strive to become better.
Thanks to all my readers or any other passerby-s who visit this site. I really appreciate you guys, you guys make blogging worthwhile for me. So yeah, stay tuned, I’ll continue to update my blog, as soon as I can get my laptop to work again (All my anime is in there D:), starting with probably a loot post (oh my god, that’s rarely seen isn’t it?).
Till then, lashings of ginger ale AND sticks of yakitori for everybody!
Onwards to a brighter future in blogging!
